California - Medical marijuana activist and Libertarian politician
Steve Kubby is the first candidate to enter the race for three seats on
South Lake Tahoe's city council. Kubby filed the requisite paperwork
with City Clerk Susan Alessi's office yesterday afternoon and will
appear on voters' ballots in November.
Citing a recent El Dorado County grand jury report which characterizes the city as operating "at an inconsistent and barely functioning level," Kubby pledged to rigorously concentrate on "meat and potatoes" issues.
